Good! But look harder, can you go further Janette? A bit more shading would make it even better! Xx

I drew these while watching the videos. I’ll try them again taking my time!

Well done Catherine! Some nice tonal work in the glass, but it’s not quite symmetrical.
Tip: if you turn your drawing upside down, you’ll see more easily if it’s symmetrical.
Spoon is looking good, but do try again and take your time.
😊

Hello everyone!
I hope you’ve all had a lovely holiday season and that 2026 is off to a creative start. It’s been a bit quiet here over the holidays, and I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to with your drawing journeys!
What sketches, studies, or experiments have you been working on? Share them here in the Drawing Challenge Group — I can’t wait to see your drawings and celebrate your progress with you.
Let’s make this year full of creativity, learning, and fun!

Thank you so much to everyone who took part in our Autumn Colours Art Competition. The standard of work was incredibly high, and it was a joy to see so many beautiful, vibrant interpretations of the season.
I’m delighted to announce that this year’s winner is:
🎉 Johnny Boyle with his stunning piece “River in Autumn”
Johnny wins a professional brush set as his prize — very well deserved!
And because the judging was so close, we also have a Runner-Up:
⭐ Lynda Davidson with her evocative artwork “Lamlash Bonfire”
Congratulations to you both. Totally agree with the results, very well deserved 👏👏
